Our Team

Built on experience.

Rescue Capital Management is led by a team with deep experience across real estate credit, distressed debt workouts, and commercial real estate investment.

Executive Team

Peter Blass

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Peter is a senior commercial real estate finance executive with over 25 years of institutional origination experience spanning every major CRE lending product — Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac, FHA/HUD, CMBS conduit, bridge, mezzanine, and equity — with documented originations exceeding $850 million across 60+ closed transactions. He has built his career at the most prominent mortgage banking platforms in the country, developing a relationship network across national banks, GSEs, life insurance companies, debt funds, family offices, and institutional equity sources, and is widely regarded as one of the most deeply connected capital markets professionals in New York real estate. At Rescue Capital, Peter leads capital raising, investor relations, and compliance, and oversees the day-to-day activities of the firm. He sits on the firm's Investment Committee.

Jacob Gold

Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer

Jacob is a private equity real estate executive with over 10 years of experience leading acquisitions, structured credit, and distressed investing across private equity and private credit platforms. He has managed a $275M AUM real estate platform, executed $550M+ in transactions, and built a consistent track record sourcing and restructuring non-performing and sub-performing assets to generate outsized risk-adjusted returns. His expertise spans the full capital stack — bridge finance, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, joint venture structuring, NPL acquisitions, and capital restructurings — with a core strength in identifying assets where creative, bespoke capital solutions unlock value that conventional lenders and traditional equity providers cannot reach. Jacob's approach is rooted in capital structure analysis rather than asset speculation: identifying situations where real estate has fundamental value but debt, ownership, or operations have created a crisis requiring creative, fast-moving capital — and structuring the solution accordingly. This framework is the analytical core of the Rescue Capital Fund's strategy. At Rescue Capital, Jacob oversees the full lifecycle of investments, leads the investment strategy across all funds, and oversees origination and credit. He chairs the firm's Investment Committee.

Jonathan Orr

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer, Asset Management and Development

Jonathan is a principal-side commercial real estate operator with over 10 years of hands-on experience executing acquisitions, ground-up development, and value-add repositioning across multiple asset classes and markets. He has consistently operated as the decision-maker rather than a broker or intermediary, with a principal-side acquisition track record exceeding $200M across multifamily, retail, industrial, and hospitality assets, $100M+ in ground-up and value-add development executed as principal, and $100M+ in CRE debt brokerage as a consultant — giving him fluency on both the ownership/operations side and the capital markets side of the table. His asset class coverage spans multifamily, retail, industrial, hospitality, and residential across Texas, Nevada, Illinois, and the Southeast. Prior to real estate, Jonathan built operational skills in institutional hotel management at DoubleTree (Hilton) Hotels — a foundation directly applicable to distressed hospitality and mixed-use asset turnarounds. At Rescue Capital, Jonathan oversees asset management, development, and the capex schedule for each asset in the portfolio. He sits on the firm's Investment Committee.
